Prelude, Toccata & Coda

I haven’t added any new projects for a while now, mainly due to spending a lot of effort on a new multimedia piece – which is now complete.

My friend and music mentor Eric Craven gave me a set of pencil sketches as graphical composition data. The idea is to use these to stimulate the invention of sonic ideas which are then woven into a soundscape.

A typical example of these “seeds” looks (after enhancement – the originals were pencil drawn) like this:

After creating the soundscape I then used a collage of old drawings and newly generated fractals to frame the enhanced sketches, and set the video to the sound.
